The North side and the South side issued a seven-point joint press statement which said that Kim Jong Il would visit Seoul in the near future and his visit would be preceded by the Seoul visit of Kim Yong Nam, President of the Presidium of the Supreme People?s Assembly of the D.P.R.K. September 15 -- North and South Korean athletes and officials made a joint march in the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympics.
